[net.micro.amiga] ABasiC help!

wutka@gitpyr.UUCP (Mark Wutka) (12/05/85)

Has anyone tried typing in the sound program from the ABasiC manual ?
I think it is somewhere around R-115. I typed it in word-for-word and
made the correction specified in one of the updates and didn't get anything
It can't be the way I have the sound hooked up because I have had no problem
using the voice synthesizer.
Also, I am having trouble going into ABasiC without using the window stuff.
When I go in through the windows the best I can do level-wise in hi-res
mode is SCREEN,1,3,0. If I try 1,4,0 I get a "not enough workspace" error.
I only have 256K but I would assume that I should be able to get into the
16 color mode.
When I go in without using the window stuff I can only do 1,2,0. I do
STACK 8000 and then ABASIC to get into basic. Do I have to do something
else or set the stack higher ??

Also, can anyone tell me what I have to do to hook up a Hayes Smartmodem 1200 to
my Amiga ??

The sound demo has several confusions of loud% and loudness%. Just make sure
that your program uses one of them consistently. The "get" line looks like
a fragment of a larger program. It doesn't serve any purpose without some
sort of loop.
