[net.micro.amiga] Developers Kits ARE Shipping

bobp@amiga.UUCP (Robert S. Pariseau) (12/09/85)

The $450 Developers Kits are shipping out of Pennsylvania. They are being
sent out land UPS as I promised.

The kit consists of the the 6 Amiga technical manuals, the Amiga Assembler
package, the Lattice C for Amiga package, the IBM Cross Development
package (including assembler and Lattice C cross tools), and miscellaneous
support tools.

The kit continues to be offered to the public. It can only be purchased as
a unit (the components are, however, available through Amiga dealers
separately). If you would like a Developers Kit, send a check for
$450 made out to Commodore Business Machines to:
  Commodore Business Machines
  C-2654
  1200 Wilson Drive
  West Chester, PA 19380

--------------------

I've just called West Chester, and reconfirmed that kits are shipping out.
They had a pause for a few days while awaiting another batch of manuals,
but another pile of kits left Friday. There is no intention to stop
this program anytime soon.

Mark Strovink -- I don't know who you talked to about this, but they had
incorrect info. We've tried to phone you without success. Please give
me a call at (408)395-6616.

Finally, given the Christmas rush, UPS is not as fast as they usually are.
Also, they have been known to lose packages on occasion. If you are
concerned about not having received your developers kit, please call
Alice Feeney at (215)431-9100 ext. 9844. Please keep in mind that UPS
land usually takes about 7 days.
