From: DICKSON, JEFF S. <jdickson@jpl-milvax> hello, Although the Amiga's graphics are a real winner, it's multi-tasking capabilities aren't too shabby either! I am really looking forward to exploit- ing it's abilities in this area when I get my development kit. There are, however, a couple of items to do about the Amiga's multi- tasking that concern me. For one, I have noticed that background tasks that do output to the screen stop when windows are moved about with the mouse. Are all tasks affected or just those that happen to be outputting to the screen at the time it needs to be redrawn ? If the latter, is there anyway for a task to test when a window is being moved so as not to become blocked waiting for the user/system to complete the operation ? Also, if you repetitively click the left mouse button (say while the bouncing ball demo is boinging away in the background) you can pratically bring the system to a standstill! Does anyone have an explanation for this they can share ? Thanks, Jeff S. Dickson JDICKSON@JPL-MILVAX.ARPA ------
