I just picked up Kickstart 1.1 and Workbench 1.1 at an Amiga users group
meeting last Thursday. While using it with my old disks, I noticed
that "list" claims that many of my files are empty. Copying the "empty"
files to new files restored their correct size, according to list.
I didn't bother to track down why.
BTW, this version does seem to correct the problem with reading/writing
the serial port. I have a very old, primitive version of kermit I am
now using to upload and download files at 9600 baud ("read" croaks
at anything over 1200 baud, and is only good for download). Things
are going MUCH faster now. I have considered posting it, but it is
really not good for much else, it doesn't even have "connect" mode.
Anyone working on a real version of kermit?
