[net.micro.amiga] ST owners dreaming?

And thank providence for that! (thought I'd get a bit nasty, but Naah!)

>> Sure, with some very difficult assembly ... you can copy the bouncing ball,

I am crazy.

>> I don't own either machine... however I have researched both.

I do own an ST, and also researched both.

>>Both have merits ..., but they are ...completely different machines.

Agreed.

>> The Amiga is a better computer, flat out,

Disagreed.

>> and it also costs twice as much. Which is better for the money?
>> I don't know,

You don't know? Don't know? Then WHY do you bother with this posting?
(then again, why do I waste readnewsers' and my time with responding?)

>> ... but I am tired of hearing atari salesmen, and atari
>> owners, blabbing that the ST is "the same thing as an Amiga".
>> That quote came directly from an atari salesman.

Salesmen's opinions rarely count, since they don't know
in most cases what they are selling (at least I never met a home computer
salesperson who did).
I never heard Atari owners say that the AMIGA is the same thing as an ST.
They know better.

That's right, "NO COMPARISON". Why do people still get overwhelmed
with sound and light? Graphics chips may be give you ultra-super-dooper-whamo
BitBlt's 'n' things, but they will not compile your programs faster, nor
read your floppies any faster.
