The topic of unix-based cross development of Amiga software is probably of interest to many readers of this newsgroup, so I posted this message here. Neil (Katin?) of Commodore-Amiga in CA told me on the phone last Friday that the Sun cross development environment for the Amiga, which includes the Greenhills C compiler, is available only to developers that have direct contracts with Amiga. He said that they have inadequate resources to mass produce and distribute that environment. Certainly the percentage of Amiga developers that have Suns is small and manageable. Amiga, why don't you make the Sun cross-development software available to those developers on your database that can use it, or at least to those that explicitly inquire about it?
