First a couple of minor corrections to the referenced article (mine). > LC1 -iinclude/ AmigaTerm > note that the source file was named "AmigaTerm", and they don't want the should have been note that the source file was named "AmigaTerm.c", and they don't want the > ".c" extension to appear in the name given in the command line. and I think > Link FROM /lib/Lstartup.obj+AmigaTerm.o LIBRARY /lib/lc.lib+/lib/amiga.lib TO Terminal should have been Alink FROM lib/Lstartup.obj+AmigaTerm.o LIBRARY lib/lc.lib+lib/amiga.lib TO Terminal Others have said this before, but be advised that the Amiga serial port has POWER on pins 14, 21, and 23. IT WILL FRY YOUR MODEM if you don't first impart violence on your modem cable by cutting the wires associated with these pins! For instance, my VADIC 3451P has nothing on pin 14, but has Remote Digital Loopback (RDL) on pin 21 and Speed Select (SS) on pin 23. I'll bet the pin 21 +5 signal would send the modem out singing a song our mainframe really never wanted to hear. To Commodore Amiga: The engineer who let CBM push him/her into releasing this design should be sentenced to torture by bunga-bunga. C'mon people, give us a break! Connectors don't cost that much. If you want external power, use *that* for your &%$#"! DB23 and save several somebodys out there about $100,000 total damage to their collective equipment.
