I have been using Hitachi color monitor/TV (20 inch) as a composite
monitor. Although this monitor has RGB digital input, I couldn't succeed
to hook up to the Amiga. Since this is medium res (400 horizontal lines),
you can not use in 80 colum mode. Even in 60 colum mode you get tired after
30 minutes. But still you can see Mandril or robocity or boing in full color.

Right now I am using Amdek-A monitor for text processing and this color
monitor for any thing else (Graphicraft,Mandelbrot set generator,Demos).
Amdek monochrome monitor has long phospher screen, so you hardly see flickering
in 640 by 400 interlaced mode and characters does not have annoying in-lines
anymore.

I heard that recent sony monitors (XBR series) has analog RGB inputs,
anybody tried these monitors with Amiga? I have seen kv1311(?) monitor with
Amiga, it looks better than stock 1800 monitor

The above mentioned Hithachi monitor/tv costs $ 500 and has stereo
inputs( but no decoder) and 2 composite 1 RGB digital input. As far as I
know
