I though I'd pass along this observation: my Sony monitor, when in the 640 X 400 hi-res mode, tends to lock onto sync a little TOO well, resulting in (essentially) a 640 X 200 display where the lines for each of the two fields overwrite one another, and the spaces between the lines are readily visible. I've found that I have to turn the vertical hold control almost to the point where the screen rolls in order to get a nicely interlaced display. The benefit to this is that flicker noticably decreases when I do it. I've seen the problem with three independent Sonys, so suspect it's generic... -- Mike Farren uucp: {dual, hplabs}!well!farren Fido: Sci-Fido, Fidonode 125/84, (415)655-0667 USnail: 390 Alcatraz Ave., Oakland, CA 94618
