[net.micro.amiga] problems with new mandelbrot program

gary@ssc-vax.UUCP (Gary J Albert) (01/14/86)

Last night I downloaded all the modules of the latest version of
the mandelbrot program posted here by R. J. Mical, it was the
first one I was able to get all of the code for. Well, when I
tried to compile it I had no luck whatsoever. Each module gave
me a "Software Error" and I had to re-boot the machine. At
first I figured I had run out of stack, so I increased the stack
size several times. But this had no effect, I still got the
error. I skimmed through the code hoping to see some simple
thing that might have caused it but nothing came to light.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and has anyone solved
it? By the way, I was using version 3.02 of the compiler and
version 1.0 of the operating system.

The new mandlebrot program expects you to be running V3.03 of the C
compiler and V1.1 of the operating system. I compiled and ran it
without problems using this configuration.
