[Down line-eater, down!!] I've been asked by a couple of fellow Amiga owners (and me too!) to see if anyone out there has documentation on the new Basic (the one that came with the Version 1.1 Extras, and may or may not be by Microsoft). If anyone has any computer readable documentation on it, could you please mail me a copy? It would probably be worthwhile to post it, since most Amiga owners should have the new Basic by now. The sample programs show how to do quite a bit of stuff, but they don't make a very good reference manual. Also, if anyone wants a simple Robots game in ABasiC, a friend and I whipped one up last weekend. I can't transfer it to this UNIX machine yet, but hopefully by next weekend I should be able to. Let me know if you want me to mail you a copy when I get it uploaded. Chris Gray {allegra,ihnp4,sask,ubc-vision}!alberta!myrias!cg

You should be able to get a copy of the manual for Amiga BASIC from the dealer who gave you the binary. It is a) quite readable and b) quite thick and tus does not lend itself well to porting into machine readable form. --Chuck > [Down line-eater, down!!] > > I've been asked by a couple of fellow Amiga owners (and me too!) to see if > anyone out there has documentation on the new Basic (the one that came with > the Version 1.1 Extras, and may or may not be by Microsoft). RE: "You should be able to get a copy of the manual for Amiga BASIC from the dealer who gave you the binary." My problem is that my "dealer" is Commodore. The local dealer said he only had enough copies for the people that bought systems from him. He wouldn't even let me copy the disks. He didn't mind selling me Deluxe Paint, but it was too much bother to let me copy the Kickstart disk so I could use it. ---- harold ravlin {ihnp4,pur-ee}!uiucdcs!uicsl!hr
