From: "french robert%d.mfenet"@LLL-MFE.ARPA Apparently a factory rep for Aegis came by my local dealer and dropped off a demo copy of Aegis animator. Although I couldn't look at the program (the disk had developed an error), the files looked rather interesting. More on that when we get a working copy. Anyway, like any healthy programmer, I started looking around the disk, especially in the C directory. Lo and behold! There was a file entitled "EMACS"! Needless to say, I ran it immediately and found a very nice AMIGA-ized version of uEMACS. Specifically, it opened it's own window (even screen perhaps...I didn't look for long), and did screen I/O as fast as if not faster than ED. All commands seemed to work as expected, and the CLI subprocess command worked beautifully. My question is...Is this copy of uEMACS still public domain, or are parts copyrighted by Aegis? Anybody know who modified this version? English: Robert S. French ARPA: French#Robert%d@LLL-MFE UUCP: ihnp4!ptsfa!well!french
