Most Amiga dealers in the New York, New Jersey area get their stock through a common distributor. (From the previous sentence Commodore should be able to figure out who I'm talking about but if they can't - I'll send the name by direct email). As a user group chairperson I am in constant touch with all the dealers in my area (ALL of whom go through this distributor). Each store has a minescule (sp?) amount of software to sell and (the kicker) each store's set of software is disjoint from the others. It's as if the distributor is playing one store off against the others. Also, each store's manager tells that same story. No support. No shippments. No effort being made by the distributor to get them wares to sell. I can't imagine why it would be to the distributor's benefit to kill the Amiga since it noone forced them to carry the machine but...my view is (and this is shared by the local store managers) that the distributor is doing more harm than good. Maybe it's not his fault? If it isn't then someone at Commodore should look into why the prime distrbutore (manufacturer's rep) in one of the densest population areas of the country isn't being supported from Commodore. If it IS his fault - again somone at Commodore should take note. Hey. I love dat machine. My livelyhood will depend upon it (in a few weeks). I want to see it get every opportunity to achieve superstardom. Perry S. Kivolowitz ihnp4!ptsfa!well!perry
