This Wednesday, Feb. 12, we're holding our 5th meeting and
our FIRST Annual General Meeting. Agenda will include
elections to executive positions, final decisions on a
name, probably some demos, good news on bulk purchases of
diskettes, discussion on fixes, source, etc.

Two weeks ago we held our first Developers'/Programmers'
meeting. Larry Phillips shared his experiences with the
Operating system (thanks Larry). It must have been
really successful, because it took over an hour to chase
everyone home after the meeting! Lots of enthusiasm
being generated. Our tentative schedule until future
notices is General Meeting
                2nd Wednesday of every month

                Developers' Meeting
                4th Wednesday of every month

  both @ 7:30 to 9:30. 10851 Shellbridge Way, Richmond, B.C.
Members from the lower Mainland, B.C. and northern Washing-
ton have been participating. We'd like to get the mailing
addresses and contact names and numbers of all the other
groups to share experiences, info. (maybe a field trip?).

Lots of people are asking me how to read a DPaint file into
a BASIC program to display it. I haven't had time to play
with this. Anyone else out there worked on it?

Re: Digitizing, grabbing images

I made some phone calls re: A-Squared's Amiga Live! Is it
true it will do real-time color digitizing without a Gen-lock?
Has anyone got it yet? The places I'd called (distributers)
haven't received it yet. Apparently it is being demonstrated
at trade fairs. How does it differ from a Gen-lock/frame
grabber combination (I'm still waiting to see that as well).
Deluxe Video Construction Set is supposed to be just around
the corner, any info?? Any other companies planning to offer
graphics digitizing peripherals???

{Any opinions expressed here are accidental}

For more Users group info, I can be reached during working
hours @ (604) 733-8342.

Oh, one last P.S. Anyone know if AMIGAWORLD, INFO, etc. are
accessible via the net?
