I wouldn't hold my breath for a cheap board with 8Mbytes of memory in the form of 1 Meg chips. Such a board would require 64 of the beasts and with the cheapest currently going for > $80 a pop you will spend over $5k! It took more than a year for 256k chips to drop from the production $80 - $100 prices (the 1 Megs quoted now are probably loss leader samples) to the $20 - $30 range. Dropping below $20 required the help of our Japanese friends who are not above dumping. Steve Crandall all of my opinions are my own and unlikely to represent those of my ferrets
