[net.micro.amiga] The 'Perfect' Program

rmariani@watnot.UUCP (Rico Mariani) (02/26/86)

In response to Bruce Barrett's comment about what an ideal Amiga
program should look like, I for one would like to hear any suggestions
that the world at large has. Personally I think that virtually
everything that I've seen so far is a poor excuse for .... I am flat
out refusing to buy any software which hogs my machine for no good
reason (are you listening EA???) and am similarly not touching anything
that is copy-protected. It seems that people are writing programs
which hide the fact that the Amiga is a multitasking machine rather
than emphasize it.

I thought that I would decide what programs my Amiga should be running at
the same time... I don't need EA or anyone else to decide for me.

On a totally different note: How many of you out there hate the CLI as much
as I do? (Don't get me wrong here, I'm very glad that I've got the CLI
but I wish that it could do a few more things)... And of those how many are
writing their own shells? I'd like to hear about'em... and if you need
some one to test them on an Amiga with lots of extra memory...
