I to find it difficult to believe that a game such as Archon or One on One that runs perfectly fine on a C64 needs to bypass Intuition and go directly to the lower level graphics routines to get good performance out of the Amiga. I would estimate the 68000 performance is at least an order of magnitude higher than that of a 6502 and the custom graphics chips support the same sort of sprite based graphics used in these games. Multitasking can make the play of the game somewhat uneven but if it realy bothered the player he could simply not run anything at the same time. Dave Scidmore
