[net.micro.amiga] EA is taking over my Amiga

I to find it difficult to believe that a game such as Archon
or One on One that runs perfectly fine on a C64 needs to bypass Intuition
and go directly to the lower level graphics routines to get good performance
out of the Amiga. I would estimate the 68000 performance is at least an order
of magnitude higher than that of a 6502 and the custom graphics chips support
the same sort of sprite based graphics used in these games. Multitasking can
make the play of the game somewhat uneven but if it realy bothered the player
he could simply not run anything at the same time.

               unlikely

In certain operations the 6502 at 1Mhz is faster than 68000 at 8Mhz.
It's instructions are very efficient, cycle-wise.
