DPSLIDE INFO????

Does anyone know where I could contact Paul Biondi

re: the DPSlide program for the Amiga? Someone I

know would like to make some arrangements with him

for a slightly customized version.

PANORAMA USERS' GROUP

We would be interested in some kind of a swap of

newsletters from the other users groups. Drop

me a line to make postage, envelope arrangements,

etc. PANORAMA's current newsletter comes out monthly.

EULOGY

I notice Robert P. from Commodore is conspicuously

absent lately from this discussion. I hear he's

sharing his expertise on BIX. Unfortunately, some

of us can't afford to participate in commercial

net-talks. He's sorely missed from this end, anyway.

Amiga LIVE! Frame Grabber from A-Squared Systems

Does anyone know when the Amiga LIVE! frame grabber

will be available????? And what the cost will be?

Also, if I were to win a Lottery and have enough to

purchase a camcorder for frame grabbing (well, I can

dream can't I?), does anyone have any recommendations

as to format and brand?

AT&T 6300 -vs- AMIGA

Finally, I've been asked to compare the Amiga with

the AT&T 6300 as a potential delivery system for

computer courseware. My impression from the VERY

sketchy information I have been able to find is that

the AT&T machine is little more than a decent clone

with an 8086 running at 8 MHz and that it's not cheap.

No sound, no voice, no graphics without purchase of

extra boards. (Vanilla IBM-compat.) Even the mouse

is a $150 option. I would like to argue in favor of

the Amiga, but I have a responsibility to my employer

to be objective and factual, which I prefer anyway.

Well, enough for now. What programming projects are

people working on? I've been trying to find the time

to do a font editor. I wish someone would hurry up

and code a good wordprocessor which would interface well

with the Apple Laserwriter or one of the other laser

printers which has Postscript.
