The following are responses to earlier net questions on the Denise (nee: daphnae) chip. >Will it be possible for us to upgrade from rev 5 or whatever? Once again, I don't know what policy is here. I would suggest trying to go thru an authorized Amiga dealer. >Is the chip socketed? Yes. The chip is currently socketed. This may or may not be the case in the future. >What sort of things are being changed that require new revs??? Many sorts of things are still being done, but few effect the final consumer view of the product. For example, shrinking the die size, will make the chip run cooler, enabling a less expensive package. (A penny saved is definately a penny earned, when talking about millions of units.) Stan
