Rumor has it that a new product from CBM called the 'Ranger' is due to make its debut. This is only a rumor heard from a few other developers on the net... any truth. For all the problems with the early release of software, it sure would have been nice to have gotten the discount for the Amiga 1000 now. It would have soothed many a Guru Message from previous releases. I hope my trust in the Amiga from day one was worth not enjoying the discount.... -- Dave Whitlock {decvax!microsof,uw-beaver,ssc-vax,allegra,lbl-csam}!fluke!star --John Fluke Mfg. It is supposed to have a built in hard disk, the 68881 math co-processor, and a (gasp) different operating system. Unix based? or something like that. I would like that to be true. I like unix. I have really gotten used to the amiga though so this way I could get the best of both world by buying both machines. I really don't know where my information comes from, probably the end of the worst grape-vine in the world, however, it started to sound possible when you mentioned that it was called Ranger, confirming at least part of my rumor. I will try to stick closer to the facts in the future everyone... forgive me for my little out burst here. -- ============================================================================== Randal Spencer - Student DEC Consulting - University of Southern California (213) 743-5363 UUCP...!{uscvax,sdcrdcf,engvax,scgvaxd,smeagol}!oberon!spencer Arpa: Spencer@USC-ECL or Spencer@USC-Oberon Bitnet: Spencer@USCVAXQ Home: 937 N.
