[net.micro.amiga] A call to arms!

bobp@amiga.UUCP (Robert S. Pariseau) (04/14/86)

As most of you in the supported developers program already know, Commodore
will be at Comdex in a big way with the Amiga (starts April 28 in Atlanta).
In addition to Commodore label product, we will be showing plenty of
third party product -- both hardware and software -- developed both here
and in Europe (and elsewhere for that matter!).

The marketing folks tell me that we are already pretty heavily subscribed
for this space, but I'm going to go out on a limb and assume there's some
pretty hot stuff out there that we don't yet know about.

A few more "surprise" products like DigiView and there's going to be no
stopping this machine!

Therefore, if you're a supported developer who somehow didn't get the word,
or if you're an independent -- if you've got a hot product shipping now
or close enough to shipping that a show-and-tell at Comdex makes sense --
let me know!

Mail to me here on Usenet. Tell me the product name, price, description,
and expected ship date. Tell me the name, address, and phone number of
the publisher (and yours as well if different). If any of the information
you send me is confidential, be sure to let me know.

If you've got something unique, the best way for me to get the idea across
to the marketing guys is if you send me a sample. For that matter, samples
help in all cases -- particularly with time so short. Send stuff by
Federal Express (or equivalent) to

   Bob Pariseau, VP Software Development
   Commodore-Amiga, Inc.
   983 University Avenue
   Los Gatos, Ca. 95030
   (408)395-6616

[The title says "software", but I'm interested in hardware products also!]

Even if the Comdex thing doesn't work out, everything we get we use. And
what we like, we talk about.

The final decision on what goes in the booth rests, of course, with the
marketing guys. What I'm offering is a chance to cut through any red-tape
you might have found -- or just a point of contact if this is your first
time talking to Commodore.

The amount of stuff I get (unsolicited) already makes it hard for me to
respond to everyone. On Usenet this is compounded, as it is impossible
to reply to many pieces of mail I get from places like ARPA that have
restrictions on return mail. But bear with me -- nothing you send will
be ignored!

--------------

By the by, if you are going to have your OWN display at Comdex and need
some support from Commodore, let me know as well. I'll see to it that
all such requests get passed on to the right people.

Speaking of the developer support program, there are great things going on
there. The fun of describing them properly sits with others, so I won't
say more right now except stay tuned for exciting new info.

And, oh yes, remember the name Terry Ishida (hee hee!)
