TITLE: Tech Manual News!
Just got the word from one of my Information Elves: The Addison-Wesley
version of the Hardware and Intuition manuals will ship on 4/25. They will
be priced at $24.95 each (list price).
The Addison-Wesley version of the 2 ROM Kernel manuals will ship on 5/30.
They will be separately priced (?) at $24.95 for volume 1 and $34.95 for
volume 2. This info on pricing sounds peculiar to me since it doesn't make
much sense to buy only one of the two volumes. I'll let you know if I get
a correction on this.
The Addison-Wesley editions do have some corrections and organizational
improvements over the last Commodore edition (printed back in January and
recently reprinted). For the most part, the changes are cosmetic. The
substantive changes (such as additional material on the IFF stuff) is
available through developer support now.
In addition, Bantam has been shipping the 3-in-1 AmigaDOS manual since
4/1. Retail price on that is also $24.95.
These books are likely to be available at most Amiga dealers and at most
technical book stores.
Between new editions of these books, upgrade material will be made available
as necessary from Amiga Developer Support.
