I just got a letter from Mr. Terry Gilmore, president of Chestnut Computer Graphics and Sound. He's bringing out a new magazine for the Amiga, called ENVISAGE. Here's what some of the letter says: "ENVISAGE will cover every aspect of the Amiga, from the standpoint of business/professional and home/entertainment applications. It will provide substance for the advanced user, without neglecting the beginner. Each issue will feature hardware & software product reviews, programming language tutorials, technical information, interviews with key individuals and much more. Here is a sample of the contents of the premiere issue: * Introduction to the CLI * The Amiga Transformer * Introduction to Amiga Basic * The Power of DAP * Textcraft "Here are the three items that make ENVISAGE unique: 1) Surprise your eyes with LIGHT GALLERY. This section in each issue will feature full color, 8-1/2 x 11' glossy photopages of the latest in Amiga computer graphics. 2) Presenting CRESCENDO!, the stereo soundsheet (a flexible plastic record) which will treat your ears to the very best that the Amiga can reproduce. 3) SOFTSHELL, the Amiga software in the hard shell (3.5-inch disk). Each issue you will find things like spreadsheet templates, music and graphic files, demo programs, etc... " CCGS is dedicated to the Amiga because it is what all computers will eventually become. ENVISAGE will be the best publication available on the Amiga - that's a promise. If you have any questions, or just want to talk, please do not hesitate to call me, day or night, at 215/855-0741." Well, it looks pretty damn interesting, if not expensive. I called him just now and his answering machine said hello, so I didn't find out any more info. I'll post another article when I know more. Needless to say, I am not in any way affiliated with this... ..Bob -- UUCP: wanginst!ulowell!page Bob Page ARPA: page@ulowell.CSNET U of Lowell CS Dept VOX: +1 617 452 5000 x2233 Lowell MA 01854 USA
