[net.micro.amiga] Amiga educational discount in Canada

I just asked my local Computerland in Toronto whether the educational
discount is available in Canada.  They contacted Commodore-Amiga and received
the answer that it is not.

Can anyone at C-A indicate a reason for this?

I suggest that you contact Commodore Canada directly.  Canada has
their own policies and their own sales organization.  The head office
is in Agincourt (near Toronto).  Rich McIntyre is the VP of Sales.
