I have now completed the graphics version of HACK on the AMIGA and am making it available for the same $6.00 diskette/copying/mailing charge. Features of this version are: - 8x8 8 color graphic characters for all the monsters and the dungeon. - Mouse support for the identify command so you can click on a character and see what it is. - Both long and short help. - Increased speed in making new levels. Slow level creations occur once in a while, but in general they are faster - Don Kneller's algorithm for generating the maze levels that does not have the stack overflow problem. (Thanks Don!) - Smaller save and level files. They are compressed on output resulting in files that are 2-4K instead of 8-10K. Also saved games are much smaller (up to 100K instead of 400K). - Bug fixes for crash and burn situations on the previous version. Because of the volumous flames I am not at liberty to post it to the net so please don't ask me to email it. I am shipping the current version 1.0.1E on a diskette along with the text version so you have a choice of what you want to play. Source is available for the text version only for a separate $6.00 fee. Someone who replaced my name with theirs and passed out that version has made it necessary to not release the lates source. I am making some additional Amiga enhancements (more mouse support and an option to start the game over) as well as incorporate some of the improvements from the Lattice 3.04 compiler soon. 1.0.3 is also in progress.
