[net.micro.amiga] New MMU

dillon@PAVEPAWS.BERKELEY.EDU (Matt Dillon) (05/31/86)

It would seem unlikely that the New MMU will ever be incorporated
into the Commodore-Amiga OS, considering the nature of program interaction,
but I do see hope for versions of UNIX that might come out on the Amiga
many years in the future (if it's still around).

Don't worry, Matt. We'll be stuck with Unix for a long time.

"Unix: the OS/360 of the '80s."
"VMS: Software for the '60s; Unix: Software for the '70s."

Which? UNIX or the Amiga?

Sorry, I couldn't resist (and in light of the OS wars that have been waged
bravely here, I really don't know what you meant).

Don't forget:

"C: the FORTRAN of the '80s."
