ok guys it is me again, sorry for the delay in this but I was out of town

I blew it with this timer thing, we did not require a Microsecond grain
but a Millisecond one (although I have been told that micro second is possible
but not how).

However, I can not figure out how to get the timer to give me a millisecond
grain, I still only get +/- 16 milliseconds (not +/- 16 micoseconds as I once
thought, damn those decimal points :-). So I will repeat my question.
I need a C routine that will tell me how long has elapsed since an image
was displayed on the screen and the user pressed a mouse key.
Also if anybody has figured out how to get unbuffered key presses I would
appreciate that information as well.
I warned you that I was new to this C stuff, but I thank everyone in advance
for all the help that I have gotten and hope to get.
p.s. If you are still there Randy, good bye and good luck, and thanks for the
      help.
