[net.micro.amiga] Zorro standard??

demo@watdcsu.UUCP (COURSE USE [DCS]) (06/12/86)

All right folks . At least we now know the NAME of the new standard for the
expansion slot (I got it out of Amazing Computing issue 4) it is called
ZORRO (dont want to know why) It evidently takes care of the first 86pins
and leaves the other 14 for intercommmuniccation between the exapansion
boxes,(should be a few neato applications there right?) .Now all we need
to know is the actual specs for this expansion. Can someone in the know
please help us?
                             thanks

I believe I am responsible for the above writings but there may have been

I don't have the spec in front of me at the moment, but as I recall several
of the "other 14" are spec'd as GND, one is the 7M clock (which must be
"synthesized" from two of the 86 pin signals), a couple more have specified
uses within the expansion box (BE* ?). I believe that only three of the
14 are available for other uses ... something like RES6, RES7, and RES8
(though I may not have the signal names quite right).

Also, only the 86 pins go between boxes.
