I would like to know if the standard printer drivers know how to skip over perforations. I have been using an Epson FX-85 and setting the number of lines, plus margins, seems to have no effect.(I do direct my output to PRT: ). That is, the printer will not skip over perforations and will print on top of page breaks (urgh..). Is there a quick fix? What is the purpose of setting the lines per page then? Just tired of bad looking output... {ihnp4,harvard}!think!cirl!gary

Yes, the printer drivers do support perf skip. I use it all the time on my MPS-1000. Try the following. ESC[nq perf skip n (n > 0) ESC[0q perf skip off Also, all of the Printer Device Command Functions are listed on page 3-198 to 3-200 of the RKM Vol. 1. -- ************************************************************************* Lisa Rossi-Siracusa Commodore Business Machines uucp: {ihnp4|seismo|caip}!cbmvax!rossi arpa: cbmvax!rossi@seismo.css.GOV or rossi@cbmvax.UUCP@{seismo|harvard} (215) 431-9180 *************************************************************************
