[net.micro.amiga] serial port flow control

I've seen a lot of discussion here on the serial port and flow
control via xon/xoff. I recently purchased a copy of
Ageis Draw and quickly learned that you really need a plotter
to make good use of it. So I borrow this pen plotter from work
and take it home... just hook it up to the serial port, set the baud
rate in preferences and away we go. Well, not quite.

The plotter does not use xon/xoff, but rather toggles pin 5 ( CTS)
to tell the host when it is OK to transmit data. My breakout box
quickly told me that the Amiga was ignoring this. Anyway, to make
a long story short, I ended up jumpering pin 5 on the plotter side
to pin 18 on the Amiga side. PIN 18!! WHAT?!

Well, all I can say is, I can now plot at 9600 baud and not lose
data. PIN18 ??? Hope this saves someone some grief.
