<> Regarding moving sound files between programs, I had no problems using the digitized sounds on Instruments #2 in a Musicraft Demo (it says v0.8 and v0.95 in various places within it). Well, maybe one or two problems. I haven't gone *into* the files, but I made it work by zapping the tomdrum sample file (tomdrum.ss), making an Instrument (organ_minor_chord.samples) into tomdrum.ss, and renaming tomdrum.instr to organ_chord.instr. The .instr file must incorporate the name of the sample file, or some signal if none is to be used, just the parameters. 1 slight flaw: the instrument works great within a composition, but sustaining a note with the keyboard eventually leads to the sound playing through all 512K (?) of memory, then back to the original sound. I guess the "stop playing" signal is missing? It must be heard to be believed, especially if you have futuresound demo recordings stashed in various places in memory. BTW, this effect also occurs with "dog" on Instruments #2. I'm surprised no mention has been made of these extra instruments before, they arrived in Nfld (here) only recently, and they have sure impressed the hell out of everyone I've played them for. I'm particularly fond of the chime/organ_minor_ chord combo. John Russell Disclaimer: I claim dis, dat, dese, and dose. Any opinions in the preceding letter are solely my own, as an Amigaphile.
