I finally got my Amiga yesterday, set it up and tried to boot it. And tried again. And again. The disk drive would give four "clunk"s (the sound of a head move from track to track) then give up for some reason and ask for the Kickstart again. On another Kickstart disk it would do the same thing, accompanied by squeaking. ARGH. Upon trying the disks on another Amiga that is known to be OK, the disks worked fine. I brought the machine back to my dealer, and they are going to repair|replace it. Two questions: 1) My guess is that the drive is out of alignment. Does it sound like that is the case? 2) Has anyone else had this type of problem? Please reply via Email, or to the net if you feel it is of benefit to others. David -- David P.
