[net.micro.amiga] inexpensive harddisk interface...

Article 4331 of net.micro.amiga:
|on the bbs systems. However, I have yet to see anyone make mention of
|an inexpensive hard disk interface or interface/drive combination.
|
|Isn't anyone out there (except me) willing to put up with a (probably)
|slow implementation of scsi done through the parallel port? [...]
|
|Is anyone out there working on a low cost interface? (and of course, the
|all-important driver) What interfaces?

I am currently using such a setup with my Amiga. It plugs into the
parallel port and therefore does not interfere with, or require, an
expansion box. The interface and a harddisk driver should become
commercially available at a modest price within a few weeks.
It is, btw, by no means a 'slow implementation', although it
does not use DMA. (Incidentally, a similar setup was used by the
Lisa/ProFile system).
