<> I have some questions for someone who saw the Commodore booth at Siggraph: 1) Aegis had an 'Amiga' monitor that someone mentioned was made by Mitsubishi. It appeared to be a long persistence tube. Does anyone know what the Mitsubishi model number? 2) There was a company demoing Soundscape, I think. They had a MIDI keyboard that I think was a Yamaha DX100. Was this the real model number and how good is it? 3) At one point, one of the exibitors had two monitors on top of each other on top of a PAL expansion box... on top of an Amiga. How much weight can be safely stacked on the little guy? I'd have asked Dale, but he seemed rather busy. CSA was showing off their expansion box with the 68020. Their data sheet said that Absoft and Aztec (I think) are both supplying compilers that take advantage of the 68020/68881 combo. While it was interesting to see the Amiga chug along on the Mandelbrot set, it didn't really compare to Sun's demo. Their system had an attached processor to help out. Something called a "Convex C-1". :) Sublogic's Flight Simulator didn't look nearly as good as the films we saw of the E&S CT-6 (?) flight simulator. But then the E&S system is something like 3 orders of magnitude more expensive! I belive Flight Simulator is scheduled for release around September. I spent entirely toooo much time at the Amiga booth. ---- harold ravlin {ihnp4,pur-ee}!uiucdcs!uicsl!hr
