The new verson of my shell and various utilities have made it to our moderator, Craig Norborg, and should be getting to you all very soon now. One of the things that will be posted is a library (link time), which must be linked into the programs. This library contains various routines, but most especially a set of buffered I/O routines, and some routines to make openning run-time libraries and io-channels easier on the soul. The library provides enough that none of my programs use anything but the long multiply routine in LC.LIB ... and you'll find that the executable sizes for the utilities is about that of small BCPL programs. I would appreciate any comments people have on possible (and practical) improvments. -Matt
