[net.micro.amiga] KeyMap Data Structure?/How to Get 8520s

d@alice.UucP (Daniel Rosenberg) (09/12/86)

[ The line-eater got my ROM Kernal Manual... ]

I have the Intuition Reference Manual (and not much more money), and
I need to build a keymap.

It says to use the CDAskKeymap() and CDSetKeymap() calls.

CD means Console Device, I suppose. Okay.

1) I don't know much about C, so I don't know what these things
will return. Structures, pointers to structures, or what?

2) Can anyone summarize the Keymap data structure for me? It would
be appreciated.

BTW, if *you* need an 8520, and have any kind of developer status
at all with Commodore, call them up in West Chester, PA and ask
for the "Amiga Service Department, please."

Talk confidently to them, and, if you did as well as I did, they'll
be willing to send you and 8520 (or perhaps anything else you might need.)
My 8520 cost $20.75 + $3.00 S/H. I expect it to be here within the
coming year :-).

Thanks and stuff,
