I got the KV-1311CR with my Amiga about a year ago and I have a question on the monitor now that I look more closely at it and try doing interlace work. The interlaced lines are so close together you can hardly tell them apart. No matter what the mode used, even the TV, there's ALWAYS black lines between absolutely everything and they are darker than the Amiga's 0x000 black. This creates all sorts of ugliness in 640X400 mandelbrot pictures (many many many many many thanks to CygnuSoft for an incredible shareware product - even with just about everything useful turned off) Of course, there's virtually no shaking - some now but little, and a horizontal like appears the same height (thickness) in interlaced or non even though text, gadgets, etc. are half-height. Is this a percularity of my monitor or a 'feature' to allow interlaced work. I donno. But, if you're looking for a new TV and a monitor, this is THE way to go. Just hit a button on the monitor (this one's not on the remote) and, TV! Hit another button and, Composite Video! Hit one more, Digital or Analog RGB (both of which look great - I saw the digital with some IBM football game) It's interesting to compare the composite output of the Amiga to the RGB. Also, the sound on this thing is good enough that you don't need any sort of an amplifier if you can live without stereo sound (only mono but there's a jack called MPX Out that's supposed to have something to do with Stereo TV) By the way, if anybody out there knows anything at all about CygnuSoft (in Canada - didn't give a phone number - don't have the address handy) please mail me or post it. I don't want to send them $10 and a disk with mailer if their product is not near completion or some hacker put his address in the information and will happily take my mailer, disk, and trash the check. Thanks much. Dan Wallach ...!ihnp4!convex!danny
