***** This line contains the minimum daily requirements of the following ... How does one tell AmigaDOS about 5-1/4" drives? I have added such a drive to my system; I also have a copy of the beta 7 version of 1.2. One can actually format a disk (cringing while tracks 40 to 79 are "formatted") and then get a directory from it. I did find the Mount command in the c directory, and the MountList file in devs, but get a "Drive already mounted" error message if I try to "Mount df2:". The 5-1/4" drive interface circuitry is similar to CBM's for 3.5" drives (thanks to earlier net postings by Fred Hamilton and Eric Black). I have added a circuit to detect disk changes. On a totally different track, as it were, I'd like to thank the CBM folks who participate in the net discussions and regularly offer assistance. The financial problems that CBM has been through this past year or two has made life very difficult and unpleasant, I'm sure, for those folks. Also, people might be interested to know that Andy Warhol isn't the only artist using an Amiga. It has found a sustantial following among artists. It is the first affordable computer system that allows artists to create images that go beyond engineering or copies of works in other media.
