I have been given the job of selecting a computer for my nieces for Christmas. I am familiar with the IBM/Clone machines and there are not a lot of educational software available for them. I know there are lots for the Apple, but Apple is just too old of a Technology even though it has been one of the better machines that we have. So, I thought maybe an Amiga or a 1040ST. I like Amiga better mainly because it seems to "me" to be a better piece of hardware with lots of capabilities that "I" like as a programmer. But is it something that "kids" can use, I mean is there enough software that would help a child in learning math, doing LOGO, and other educational stuff. I am looking for something that helps the child in thinking not something that just displays answers for stupid questions. So, is there anyone out there that uses an Amiga for this purpose, would you recommend it, and if so, what are some of the Educational programs available for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please respnd via e-mail. ihnp4!ihreza!reza0
