I am just passing along some first hand info. Today I went to a local
Amiga store in Michigan and was told that CBM sold them some reconditioned
Amigas and New 1080 Monitors which he is selling to the general public for
$850.00 (Amiga 1000 [256K] + New 1080 Monitor). He mentioned that whenthe
Amiga first came out, CBM did not have service centers in place, CBM just
exchanged these units for new ones. Now, they have been repaired and are
being sold to the public as reconditioned. Sounds like a good deal to me.
