[ Requisite sacrifice to a line eating bug. ] There seems to be a lot of discussion about which monitor is best, which delivers the sharpest picture, etc. Allow me to fuel the flames further with my own experiences. I have the Commodore 1070 (received as part of the developers system). I find the picture to be extremely sharp and clear. The colors are quite nice, black shows up as black, and text is readable. The Commodore 1080 monitors seems to be less sharp than my 1070. However, they still deliver a decent picture 95% of the time (I have seen some really terrible 1080's). The 1080 does offer an advantage over the 1070 in that it can accept a composite signal, so it can be used with virtually any computer. The Sony KV-1311 are cute, and having TV capability is nice, but I found them to be less sharp than my 1070. I made a display in 640 x 400 mode on both monitors, and felt that the Sony was smudging a bit more than my 1070. However, the colors on the Sony are really good, and if you need a good TV as well, then this should do you very nicely. None of these monitors can directly reproduce stereo sound, which is too bad. I mean, how much more expensive can it be to put in another amp and speaker? Maybe I got real lucky with my 1070. I mean, the picture is *really* sharp, and there are almost no convergence problems anywhere. I've had the monitor over a year, and I don't have any real desire to replace it. What can I say? I'm happy. _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ ________ ___ Leo L.
