[net.micro.amiga] KERMIT program for UNIX->Amiga transfer requested

blumberg@ihuxy.UUCP (Marc R Blumberg) (10/14/86)

I have been using several terminal programs for UNIX-Amiga
communications, including the excellent vt100 emulator. So far,
I have been transfering files using ASCII transfer, which is
not very secure. I'd like to use Kermit, but the UNIX system
I am on does not have a Kermit program to interface with.

My question is: How are other amiga users doing this? Is there
source for a UNIX program to do this? Can I get away with a
short-cut? Am I the only one with this question? Please Help!

UNIX(tm) is a trademark of AT&T Bell Labs.
Kermit(tm) may or may not be trademarked.
Amiga(tm) is trademarked by Commodore Business Machines.
Naperville(tm) is not trademarked, it is a city.

I am also interested in a Kermit for use in Amiga-Unix transfers. Any
Postings or other guidance would be appreciated. Thanks
