Keywords: I am looking for the following programs: * a uudecode utility for the amiga * AmigaMonitor Can anyone email me the source/uuencoded executable or give me a pointer to a place where I can obtain them via FTP? Also, does anybody know if SubLogic ever intends to release Flight Simulator/Jet/Radar Raiders/any flight-simulator type game for the Amiga? Or are they offering us more vaporware? -- +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Mike Portuesi | | Carnegie-Mellon University Computer Science Department | | | | ARPA: mjp@spice.cs.cmu.edu | | UUCP: {harvard | seismo | ucbvax | decwrl}!spice.cs.cmu.edu!mjp | | | | "Talking about music is like dancing about architecture" | | --Laurie Anderson, "Home of the Brave" | +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+

Yes, I've checked a demo version at my local shop and he expects to receive them next week (around Nov 12). I've flown the sucker and I find it really nice (compared to the Mac version). The screen updates are much smoother, as expected, and the release version is even smoother. The only major features that weren't in the demo was Slew mode and any keyboard commands (wierd omission) which precludes starting a war in WWI Ace. I'm not familiar with the navigational aids but I did get responses while twiddling with them. An added feature is that you can connect to another Amiga and fly interactively! So, the wait may almost be over. Flip side, joe piazza --- Cogito ergo equus sum. CS Dept. Flight Simulator II was available for sale this weekend at the second Amiga fair held by Family Computer Centers in Farifield NJ. They also had Defender of The Crown, which is a great game/simulation!!!
