Hi! I've never posted to this board before, so I hope I'm not jumping on some idea that's already been put out of it's misery... Do any of you out there play DIPLOMACY ? I think it would probably be very interesting to get a game going by electronic mail. If anyone is interested, please send me mail to any of the following addresses: ARPANET: squires@nyu-csd2.ARPA CSNET: squires@nyu-csd2@csnet-relay UUCP: ...{allegra|philabs|decvax|inhp4}!cmcl2!csd2!squires As you may know if you're an avid DIPLOMACY finatic, mail games are quite common, but are slow. Electronic mail might prove an exciting medium for a game, especially on those machines with any sort of real-time mail or teleconferencing capability. So let me know if you're interested. Also let me know if this idea has already been tried on the net. There is a 'net.games.pbm' notesfile for E-Mail PBM games. Most of the games presently being played are Diplomacy. Just drop a note in there and somebody will pick you up; they've been complaining recently about vanishing players. Robert A. Ekblaw
