I am looking for information on application generators for UNIX systems, especially for a PC/AT running XENIX. I have heard of APPGEN and Progress, and I'm sure others exist. If you have used one or have any information on such a beast, I would appreciate a mailed response. Specifically, I'd like some of the following questions answered: - Does the generator produce C or some other language? - Can the generator output be easily interfaced to other (human-written) modules? - How efficient is the code? - What type of database indexing schemes are available? - How about data integrity, consistency and security? - What machines (hardware, os) is it available for? - How much does it cost? - Are there royalties on the generator output code? I will summarize to the net if there is a lot of interest. \tom haapanen watmath!watrose!haapanen I'm all lost in the Supermarket I can no longer shop happily I came in here for that special offer Guaranteed personality (c) The Clash, 1979
