-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<135@mit-eddie.UUCP> Subject: Re: Will The Real Kate Bush Please Stand Up

Regarding a question as to why Kate Bush did not sound any different than
your typical MTV artist, mit-eddie!nessus (Doug Alan) indicates that MTV
does not air her really "bizarre" material.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<205@astroatc.UUCP> Subject: Re: mainstream avant-garde?

Regarding a posting about certain artists who are on the "cutting edge"
of music, vs. those who sit back and cash in on the cutting-edgers' work,
astroatc!gtaylor (Gregory Taylor) defines these terms and gives some ex-
amples of artists who do both.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<1897@pyuxd.UUCP> Subject: Re: Will The Real Kate Bush Please Stand Up

Regarding the issue of Kate Bush being just another MTVer, puyxd!rlr (Rich
Rosen) states this is not so, that she is part of a larger output of cre-
ative music, and to gain access to this music requires one to listen to
college radio (WRSU, WPRB) or "The Cutting Edge" on MTV Sunday nights. He
also suggests U68.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<2398@sjuvax.UUCP> Subject: Re: Dead Milkmen

Regarding a question about the availability of the Dead Milkmen's new al-
bum, sjuvax!kirsch (P. Kirsch) gives a short history of the Dead Milkmen.
They are a Phildelphia-based band whose songs are mostly about their ex-
periences, including Senior Week partying on the Jersey Shore. He rates
them as a very amusing and worthwhile band to see.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<2399@sjuvax.UUCP> Subject: Re: Led Zeppelin fans (:-)

sjuvax!kirsch (P. Kirsch) points out that arguments such as "Who is the
greatet guitarist" are pointless because it depends on the tastes of the
arguing individuals.
