You maybe interested in a new product Lynch Communication Systems
has just introduced. The product is called the "300S Digital
Loop Carrier System." The 300S is a double-ended digital pair-gain
system which provides voice and data service over T1, fiber optic or digital
radio transmission facilities. The 300S' state of the art equipment
is designed to be compatible with the ISDN environment. The 300S
may be used to augment PBX, Centrex or Local Area Networks.
The 300S will optimize traffic on existing high capacity facilities
and may even eliminate cable plant additions. The 300S is designed to
enhance station users service by providing them with a wide variety of
capabilities, including: Single Party; Analog Data at 2.4, 4.8 and 9.6
Kbps; Digital Data with point to point asynchronous or DDS at 2.4, 4.8,
9.6 or 56 Kbps service rates; PBX trunking with either groundstart or
loop start; Prepay Coin Service; and full external and internal diagnostic
capabilities. The 300S also includes built-in span protection. The
300S switching network is all solid-state, thus reducing the
problem of hardware failure. Also, the 300S provides university
personnel with the ability to monitor and control system functions
from a central location via a remote linkup using RS232 ports, or
from either terminal end of the 300S system.
