======================================================== Announcing RED PENCIL, the editorial markup/correction program for the IBM-PC. ======================================================== Red Pencil, an interactive software package for markup and automatic correction of electronic manuscripts and documents, allows users to make standard editing marks on a manuscript displayed on the computer screen. The markup program has the ability to include queries or comments and to "stet" marks previously made. After completing the markup session, the user can print the marked-up manuscript on a graphics printer and send it to the author or reviewer for approval. Marks can be removed or new ones added at any time. After approval, Red Pencil's correction program applies the marks to the manuscript and automatically makes all the changes, creating a clean, updated manuscript ready for typesetting or page layout. Red Pencil provides an automated solution to the document review cycle. Previously, each time a document went through a revision, it was proofread, then retyped (introducing more errors), requiring more proofreading and correction. Now, that cycle is shortened considerably because Red Pencil automatically makes corrections directly from the user's markups. This means no retyping, minimal proofreading, and reduced time and cost. Hardware required: IBM-PC compatible with MS-DOS 2.0 or higher, 128K RAM, CGA card, composite or RGB monitor, two disk drives, Epson FX-80 compatible printer or laser printer with Epson emulation. A Mouse Systems' PC-Mouse or a Microsoft Mouse is recommended but not required. Red Pencil sells for $199.00 For more information, call or write: Capsule Codeworks 9024 132nd Place SE Renton, WA 98056 (206) 235-7099 ========================================================
