	       PARALLEL VECTOR PROCESSORS"

A five-day workshop sponsored by Pacific-Sierra Research Corp.,
California State University at Sacramento, and San Diego State
University.

June 15-19 1987  -- Sacramento, CA (and Lake Tahoe)

Brief outline:	Introduction to vector and parallel computers;
architecture and FORTRAN environment of Cray X-MP and Cray 2,
Convex C1, SCS40, Alliant FX/8;  optimization/vectorization
techniques; hands-on workshop to optimize assigned problems;
multi-tasking and micro-tasking techniques; I/O optimization.

Attendees will have access to both the Cray X-MP/48 and
Alliant FX/8 during the workshop.

Added attraction:  Part of the workshop will be held at the
    conference center at Lake Tahoe.

			    Research Corp.

Cost:  $1,000 per attendee, prepaid; includes machine time and
