Article: 8:1 [Well, we seem to be on flashlights now.. But since the group is quiet these days... -jh] I normally have a 5 cell Mag-Lite in my car. The light it throws out at night is quite bright and very useful on dark backroads. The flashlight is also very useful for changing tires. A few bangs on the handle of my jack will break loose any stuck lug. I have a more normal size Mag-Lite for home use and carry a mini-Mag-Lite at all times. The light is brighter than an ordinary flashlight of the same size but the main advantage of the Mag-Lites is their greater durability. I once had to climb up on my roof on a dark and stormy night to clear a downspout. Considering the intensity of the rain, I doubt if an ordinary flashlight would have been safe or useable. I doubt if an ordinary flashlight would have survived the drop when I let go of the flashlight on the way down. Danny Low
